Remembrance
Some of Texas A&M University’s most cherished traditions and memorials honor members of the Aggie Family who are no longer with us. They connect generations through remembrance and ensure that the Aggie Spirit lives on.
Muster
Muster is observed worldwide each year on April 21 to remember fallen Aggies. After the name of each Aggie who has died is read aloud, a loved one will answer, "Here," to show the Aggie is there in spirit.
Silver Taps
Current Texas A&M students who pass away are honored at a Silver Taps ceremony. Texas A&M is the only university in the world to honor its students in this way.
The Memorial Student Center serves as a gathering place for students and also honors all Aggies who lost their lives while serving their country.
Bonfire Memorial
The Bonfire Memorial celebrates the tradition, history and spirit of Texas A&M. It also honors those involved in the tragic collapse of the 1999 Bonfire.
Rooted in Tradition
Texas A&M's traditions unite our current and former students, build camaraderie and foster the Aggie Spirit.
