Fire up your grills for a BBQ cook-off that is sure to fuel you up for gameday! We will have teams competing for multiple award categories, determined by celebrity judges. This event is open to the public to come and experience!

Sign Up and Participation

Compete in the first annual 13-0 Burn BBQ Cook-off! We will have teams compete for awards and prizes, including student teams and community teams.

All entry forms will be submitted online. The fee for the cook-off space — $100 per student team and $250 per community team — will be collected after sign-up once you receive confirmation from the event team. Sign-ups will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

BBQ Cook-Off Teams

Each BBQ team will consist of one head cook and no more than four additional team members. Each team must have and cook on their own pit. Cooking team members may not cook for more than one team in the competition. Each BBQ team is required to have the head cook attend the rules and regulation meeting on Friday, Nov. 29 at 1 p.m. The head cook is responsible for the cooking team, their actions and their space, and must be onsite and available during the cook-off competition.

  • Entry Fee (per team): $100 for student teams and $250 for community teams

Awards

Trophies will be awarded to the winners of the student and community teams in the following categories:

  • Brisket — 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place
  • Chicken — 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place
  • Pork Spareribs — 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place
  • Overall Grand Champion
  • Overall Reserve Champion
