The Burning Desire
Friday, Nov. 29, 2024 • 7:00 p.m. Rudder Theatre Event SummaryThis 68-minute documentary, produced in 2009, chronicles the dramatic events on the Texas A&M campus in November 1999 when the annual Aggie Bonfire collapsed in the final days of construction. Twelve Texas A&M students lost their life and many others were injured. The documentary looks back at the tradition, the tragedy, and how the rivalry football game days later with the Texas Longhorns became an emotional focal point for all affected.
